There’s not much to say about myself other than, I’ve been an artist all my life! Growing up, we had costume parties for our birthdays. My other two sisters born the same week but different years as I, we enjoyed dressing-up. One year, my father asked me what I wanted to be. I said, a French Artist. He gave me a beret, smock, and made me a palette. His special gift was a small paintbrush. Then he taught me how to say, “Parlez-vous français?” So, I went around all day speaking French and pretending to paint everything in sight! Years flew-by and at the age of sixteen, my first paint set was paint-by-numbers. But, from the time I could hold a pencil in my hand, I created beautiful artistic scenes with pencils. I even learned how to shade, etc. and that was trial-by-error. I never had any training, whatsoever, but I won school art certificates every year. Year-after-year, my teachers put me in charge of creating the bulletin boards for the classrooms! Art has always been a huge part of my life. Entering the working world, I used my artistic gifts as a muralist and faux finisher at the High Point Furniture Market in NC., and did artistic designs for residential homes in Hickory, NC. I enjoyed participating in Art Shows at the Hickory Furniture Market and displaying, selling my art there and other Art Galleries throughout NC and FL.
